Warframe Resource Extractor Guide and Tips

This guide is mostly a visual learning experience on where to find the Resource Extractors. I am also going to show you how to exploit these extractors for large amounts of resources, giving you an unfair advantage over other players in gathering top-dollar items from the marketplace. This has been a widely used practice since the inception of Warframe but has become even more important to do with the next update.

This Guide Starts in Saturn and Ends at Sedna. I will continue so there is no need to shout at me about it. I'm putting this out very quickly so please excuse any spelling errors or poor sentence formats, I'll try get on top of that in a few days.

how to deploy a resource extractor in warframe

First you need to find an extractor on the map. They only spawn in tilesets that are marked for missions 3-17 levels of difficulty, but they can't be too easy because it would be too hard to exploit them. So basically if you know what level your playing (which all new players should) then its pretty easy to find. They look like a boxy pillar with a circle on them, some have a red marker while others don't. The ones with the markers are bugged and do not work properly while some of these can be ignored as they still give you resources.

They spawn randomly in any mission indicated by the resource counter at the top of your screen. The counter tells you how many extractors are in the level as well as their locations. Once an extractor has been activated it will be marked on your map for future reference, now that's a nice feature!

What is a resource extractor and what does it do?

Resource extractors are basically automated loot boxes that you can find hidden on most missions. When activated they spew out items for a short amount of time. What makes these things so special is the fact that once activated, they will give you free loot continuously until they run dry or you log off. This means that it's possible to come back to your extractor after a few days and it will have replenished its contents.

When you are first getting into the game it's possible to deploy up to three extractors at one time, this limit is increased as you level up.

How to use the extractor

This exploit only works on Resource Extractors that have been activated, those with a red marker above them. Simply go to one of these and deploy a new extractor by pressing triangle on your console. Now the other two will be standing around an inactive extractor instead of being used themselves.

Repeat step 2 as many times as you can until it tells you that you cannot deploy any further. Once this happens, simply log out of the game and switch account. Switching accounts will make all three extractors active again thus allowing you to repeat step 2 as many times as needed. This method is a great way to stockpile a large amount of credits over a period of time.

How to make lots of money with the extractor

This method is much more profitable and can generate up to 200,000 credits per hour depending on your mastery rank. It's also an easy way to gather prime parts for crafting and selling them in the market without spending too much time and effort hunting them down. The extraction part is the same as above, but instead of leaving after deploying three extractors you need to stay and gather resources.

Once activated simply pick up all the items that spawn out of the extractor. You want to be especially careful about getting prime parts, they are usually where most of the credits come from when selling them on the market (along with

Conclusion

I hope this guide has helped you to gain some more knowledge on the extractor and hopefully made your journey into Warframe that little bit easier.
